Worth $200 Million

Monadelphous has been given the contract to service Shell Australia’s Prelude FLNG project. Worth $200 million, this maintenance contract is set to run for seven years, with two options for 2-year extensions. This contract is said to be one of the best maintenance service contracts within Australian LNG.

Monadelphous Gets Shell

Located in the Browse Basin

Monadelphous, who are charged with maintaining the FLNG plant located in the Browse Basin 475km north-west of Broome WA, will be responsible for servicing the LNG process plant, support utilities, hull and non-process infrastructure, accommodation and control rooms.

Significant Strategic Importance for Monadelphous

Rob Villetri, Monadelphous’ managing director, commented that it is the goal of his company to become the partner of choice for floating LNG services and that this contract is of ‘significant strategic importance’ on the way to help them achieve that goal. He also says that their extensive experience in providing maintenance services to Australian LNG facilities shows that they are well capable of providing off and onshore support.
